SADHANA : HELLO TEACHER CANDIDATES

Exit slip

Hello Everyone                                                                                          Sep 9, 2017

This is Sadhana Verma, This is my new blog. It was great discussion and interaction with all of you on Sep 7, 2017. I am going to discuss first two statements which we discussed in the group.

Firstly, I would like to give my opinion about the Raffaella Borasi’s first statement which is “It is not good trying to reason things out of your own”. I am completely agreed with above statement. If we do learn anything very promptly than we could correct the problems very efficiently and successfully without any dilemma. As a teacher, it is very important to learn and understand the problem in a right manner so that we could deliver the right information to our future students. However, the disagreeable part is skipping problems and not pay attention does always create lots of conflicts and time management problems. By paying proper attention and lot of practice is directly proportional to the promptly solve the problems. Better to pay attention in the class and discuss with the specialized and expert person is always a  good idea instead of pondering alone. Similarly, in mathematics, we do always put the right formula solves the equation. Thinking alone cannot solve these deficiencies away. So you need proper procedures (means correct person and applications) to solve these deficiencies (problems).

Second statement: “Staying too much on the problem is the waste of time”. I am totally agreed with this statement because if we think and spend lots of time on one problem then we will not be able to manage the life properly in a timely manner, therefore, we could find the bundles of the problem at the same time that creates a bundle of problems. Looking keenly and observing only one problem cannot reach you a successful ladder. But disagreeably skipping a problem is always creating a lack of understanding. In learning environments such as in the field of teaching, the problems are designed to demonstrate understanding and certain skills in order to solve the problems. These skills sets contain the step by step progression to solve any given problem. If one such is skill is lacked in order to solve the problem, the same lack of skills will be seen in solving higher order problem sets. Therefore, especially in the field of mathematics, the rule of progression is important which explains the flow of solving a problem i.e. simple to a
complex problem.
